Heat Sink Music April 22 – Earth Day

Who would have thought a device or for absorbing excessive or heat from inside a computer, could make beautiful and interesting music.

Last night, at the Disco Dolls there was a showing of art.

Last night, at the Disco Dolls there was a showing of art. We were entertained by incredible art made of electronic scrap. Both musicians gathered computer parts from Urban E Recycling and assembled a rhythmic collection of booming, tinging and pings. The music produced from heat sinks, circuit boards and other electronic waste was phenomenal. They used drumsticks and guitar picks to make pleasing sounds of a space odyssey.

The art preview also included jewelry made of e-waste, sculptures of copper wire and lamps made of circuit boards. Bowties from mylar and a head fashioned of keyboard keys were also on display. All this was a sneak preview for the Earth Day Bash happening April 22, at 5508 N. 50th St.

The Earth Day Bash is a Community Appreciation Day created and put on by Urban E Recycling. The location, 5508 N. 50th Street, is a co-working collaboration exchange. The Tampa Bay Community is invited to celebrate Earth Day from 7 pm – 11 pm. There will be displays of E-waste Art, E-waste Music a D.J. and food and drink. All art will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to send children to YMCA camp & music camps.

“No matter what, this job was too good to let e-waste ruin it. Besides, I am very good at finding solutions.”
